United Kingdom

Introduction

The United Kingdom contains more heritage, per square mile, than any other nation. It’s hard to choose amongst the country’s many attractions – it is home to some of the world’s most famous cities, such as London, Manchester, Oxford and Cambridge. Tracts of beautiful countryside and gently rolling hills stretch out into the horizon, while in the South, chalk cliffs offer breathtaking views of the sea.

Among the world’s most visited cities, London has long been regarded as a cultural hub and the financial heart of Europe. There is something for everyone here: history, leisure, art and business. Instantly recognisable landmarks dot the cityscape – from the historical Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben to the iconically modern Shard – the city is a stunning dichotomy of old and new.

Within easy reach of London lies the city of Oxford. More than just its world-famous University, it is a beautiful city of golden stone. Cambridge, too, sits resplendent in all its granite charm upon a sea of green.

With world-class education, living standards and travel links, the United Kingdom remains a supremely desirable country in which to live, work and study, and is the destination of choice for discerning individuals the world over.
